Job Summary
Lead housekeeping staff in training, coaching, cleaning, and inspecting to uphold departmental excellence and manage new hires. Act as a role model by pitching in for all tasks, including training, while monitoring supplies and expenses to meet financial objectives. Schedule co-workers to align with business demands, balancing guest requests and employee time off. Train teams on safety protocols per OSHA guidelines and report maintenance or security issues promptly. Requires three years of progressive hotel experience, supervisory background, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Fluency in English and strong communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- prior supervisory experience
- ability to effectively use the various pieces of equipment/tools used in housekeeping
- ability to perform medium work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- ability to stand for long periods of time
- ability to walk long distances
- ability to kneel, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms
- ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
- ability to multi task
- good communication skills
- fluency in reading, writing and speaking English
