Job Summary
Oversee and coordinate housekeeping operations for a healthcare facility, supervising Housekeepers, Floor Technicians, and Laundry Aides; assign tasks and shift schedules based on facility needs and occupancy, train and coach staff, conduct inspections of resident rooms and public areas for cleanliness and safety, manage inventory of supplies and linens, collaborate with nursing, maintenance, and dietary departments, investigate and resolve housekeeping-related concerns, maintain records of schedules and inspections, ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards, assist with budgeting and resource management, and perform cleaning duties during staff shortages. The role requires strong organization, team leadership, effective communication, familiarity with safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of related housekeeping management experience preferred
- Prior experience supervising a team (preferred)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer skills (email, word processing, spreadsheets)
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and positive attitude
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties
- Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control
