Job Summary
Oversee the housekeeping department under the EVS Manager, ensuring the facility and resident apartments are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner. Responsibilities include supervising staff, recruiting and hiring qualified housekeeping personnel with proper orientation and training, maintaining staff schedules, ensuring proper uniforms, managing supplies and inventories, coordinating weekly room cleanings and daily common-area cleaning, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The role also involves ensuring high-quality resident service, participating in prospective resident visits and welcome orientation, maintaining building cleanliness, and supporting personal laundry services where applicable; requires willingness to travel as needed and to work flexible hours in a healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required.
- Three years of experience in a comparable position including supervision of staff and administrative responsibility.
- Ability to communicate effectively, plan, direct and coordinate maintenance and security programs.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, standards applicable to Facility operations.
- Experience managing employees.
- Flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Basic computer knowledge.
