Job Summary
Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the housekeeping staff to ensure a clean, safe, and guest-ready environment at The Houston Grand – River Oaks. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching staff, interviewing/hiring with performance feedback, coordinating room cleaning and public areas, managing supplies and inventory, responding to guest requests, enforcing health/sanitation standards and safety procedures, implementing emergency procedures, and ensuring consistent communication across the team. Requires ability to supervise a team, train and coach staff, manage assignments, handle guest inquiries, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety. Strong verbal/written communication and adaptability to different audiences are essential; candidates should be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and moving throughout the building as part of managing housekeeping operations.
Required Qualifications
- Housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry or move materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences
