Job Summary
Oversee and supervise the housekeeping team to maintain a safe, clean, and high-quality guest experience. Responsibilities include directing staff, interviewing/hiring/training, providing performance feedback and coaching, inspecting guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, managing supplies and inventory, responding to guest requests, and implementing emergency procedures to protect guests and assets. Maintain adherence to health/sanitation standards, safety programs, and company policies while ensuring guest satisfaction and efficient operations.
Required Qualifications
- Housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to grasp, lift, carry or move materials weighing up to 100 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to move throughout building, bend, stoop and reach to assist staff and complete tasks
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences
- Supervise housekeeping staff including training, coaching, and performance feedback
- Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, and disciplinary actions when appropriate
- Inspect cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction
- Issue assignments and manage supplies/goods to staff; control inventory and expenses
- Respond to guest requests and inquiries to maintain guest satisfaction
- Implement emergency training and procedures to protect guests, staff, and assets
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly
- Perform other related duties as assigned
