Job Summary
Inspect guest rooms and VIP suites daily to ensure standards are met, then oversee the organized closing of floors to restock carts with linen only. Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, and stairways while supervising all staff in Laundry and Housekeeping for performance and accountability. Initiate and follow through on maintenance work orders for doors, plumbing, and electrical equipment. Oversee daily assignment distribution, collect keys and assignment sheets, and submit documentation for misconduct or absenteeism. Carry an active pager to maintain contact with the Front Office and Engineering throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
- Must comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Must carry an active pager/radio to maintain contact with the Front Office and/or Engineering throughout the shift period
- Must be able to ensure completion of regular maintenance and cleaning projects on a biannual basis
