Job Summary
Assist the Housekeeping Manager with cleaning and upkeep of Catholic Charities properties, including interior and exterior areas. Perform pressure washing on exterior concrete and handle special projects such as moving, painting, deep cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, furniture building, and yard work. Report cleaning needs, repairs, or damaged items to supervisors and protect confidential information and company property. Operate gas-powered equipment and follow safety rules while wearing required PPE. This role requires a valid Nevada driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Candidates must have at least two years of housekeeping experience and obtain OSHA 10 certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education, or combination of education and experience
- Minimum of two years of work experience in housekeeping/janitorial
- Ability to operate a gas-powered pressure washing machine
- Flexible schedule to work after hours and weekends, as necessary
- Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification within the designated time frame
- Valid Nevada State driver's license
- Ability to provide clean driving record
- Ability to continuously sit and/or stand
- Ability to climb stairs as needed
- Walking, bending, reaching and lifting are required throughout the shift
- Must be able to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as gloves as required
- Regularly lifts 20 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds; may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in environmental factors that include extreme heat and cold, dirt or dust
- Ability to obtain nonslip shoes within 2 weeks from first pay period
- Must successfully complete a drug test
- Must successfully complete a background check
