Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning and sanitation across hospital wards, OPD areas, operation theatres, corridors, and utility zones using approved disinfectants and PPE. Scrub and disinfect all toilets, washrooms, and high-touch surfaces multiple times daily while maintaining strict infection control protocols. Perform terminal cleaning and fumigation of sterile zones under supervision, ensuring proper segregation of biomedical waste into color-coded bins. Maintain housekeeping equipment, log cleaning activities, and report any damage or supply shortages to the supervisor immediately. Work rotating shifts including morning, afternoon, and night duties while adhering to hospital safety standards and biomedical waste management rules.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8th or 10th standard pass (SSC) from any recognized board
- No specific prior qualification required — freshers are welcome
- Basic understanding of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and housekeeping equipment safely
- Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing manual cleaning tasks throughout the shift
- Willingness to work in all areas of the hospital including toilets, wards, OT zones, and utility areas
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere strictly to hospital protocols
- Good conduct, punctuality, and discipline
- Willingness to work in shifts — morning, afternoon, and night
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in housekeeping, sanitation, or cleaning in a hospital, hotel, or commercial establishment
- Knowledge of Kannada
- Hindi understanding
- Candidates with prior hospital housekeeping experience
