Job Summary
Housekeeping Aide responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors within a long-term care facility. Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas; sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces; emptying trash and replenishing supplies; following infection control procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals; responding to housekeeping requests; assisting with terminal cleaning after resident discharge or transfer; maintaining housekeeping carts and equipment; and supporting safety policies and waste disposal procedures. Requires knowledge of cleaning chemicals and infection control practices with the ability to work independently and as part of a team; high school diploma or GED preferred; prior healthcare/long-term care or hospitality housekeeping experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, long-term care, or hospitality preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and infection control practices
- Ability to follow safety procedures and facility policies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
