Job Summary
Perform light cleaning duties in Residents' households, including dusting furniture, mopping, vacuuming floors, and sanitizing showers and tubs. Clean public and high-traffic areas by mopping floors, dusting surfaces, washing windows, and emptying trash containers. Operate housekeeping equipment safely and effectively while following WHMIS legislation and established hygiene procedures for morning and evening shifts. Provide efficient, courteous service to Residents and cooperate with other departments to support overall operations. Follow direction from the Resident Services Manager and assist your team as needed. Requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma, housekeeping experience, and a Vulnerable Sector Screening check.
Required Qualifications
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in housekeeping (healthcare or hospitality setting an asset)
- Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in Seniors Living / Retirement
- Ability to operate commercial cleaning equipment (washer, dryer, auto-scrubber, vacuum, etc.)
