Job Summary
Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, lounges, and public areas including landings, elevators, and stairways. Sort, count, fold, and transport linens to various site locations while making beds. Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing materials, and bathroom essentials. Dust furniture and equipment, polish metalwork, and wash windows, walls, doors, and woodwork. Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors; clean rugs, carpets, and draperies. Empty waste baskets, clean ashtrays, and transport trash to the disposal area. Replace light bulbs and move furniture or hang drapery when necessary. Perform duties as directed by the manager or supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Ability to work as a team
- Good Communication and Customer Service skills
- Ability to pull and push work-related equipment, such as a loaded housekeeping cart over uneven and sloping surfaces
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and pull
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, or kneel for a long period of time
- Ability to manipulate, turn, and grasp objects of different sizes and weights
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision and manage time efficiently
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience preferred but not required
