Job Summary
Maintain hotel rooms in a clean and orderly manner by making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and halls, and vacuuming. Unload and load the housekeeping cart with supplies, replace cleaning materials, and keep the cart neat and stocked. Report maintenance repairs, unsafe conditions, and guest requests to the supervisor while communicating room status and work progress. Record and turn in all lost and found items. Complete cross-training and other duties as assigned by management. This role requires physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in wet or humid conditions. At least six months of hotel housekeeping experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Physical ability to perform the cleaning duties
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work under time constraints and in a fast-paced environment
- At least six months of hotel housekeeping experience preferred
- Continually required to stand and walk up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Frequently required to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, and twist
- Frequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment
- Continually required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 lbs.
- May be required to push or pull a maximum weight of 150 lbs.
- Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
- Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or cleaning chemicals
- Occasional exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials
- Occasional exposure to loud noise
