Housekeeping

Housekeeping at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV performs a variety of environmental services to maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition. Responsibilities include inspecting and cleaning patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, and procedure spaces; removing trash; replenishing supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap; making beds; maintaining and reporting on equipment; moving furniture and cleaning surfaces; and observing safety and sanitation regulations. Training may include annual education related to specialty accreditation. Must be physically able to perform cleaning tasks (mopping, reaching, bending, operating floor equipment) and meet the Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard. Scheduling based on operational needs; strong customer service with guests; ability to read and follow written work assignments. Working environment includes exposure to cleaning chemicals and potential communicable diseases. Shift is Full-Time with 40 hours per week. Location is Martinsburg, West Virginia.
