Housekeeping Manager

Job Summary
Lead the housekeeping department by building efficiency strategies, coordinating daily activities, and scheduling crew members. Manage inventory, maintain stock levels, and oversee purchasing while conducting proactive room inspections and opening the department daily. Train new staff, coach existing crew, and hold the team accountable for roles and cleaning standards. Develop operational processes, systems, and programs to ensure proper cost controls and labor management. Complete hands-on duties alongside staff when needed. Full-time role with varying hours including weekends and evenings.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or a similar operational environment
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, and attention to detail
- Ability to lead by example with a hands-on, team-first approach
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written) with a positive, professional attitude
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and occasional evenings
Desired Qualifications
- Previous hotel or housekeeping experience is strongly preferred
- Property management system experience is an asset
