Job Summary
Direct all Housekeeping department operations, including daily room inspections, staff scheduling, and inventory control. Train associates on company standards, evaluate performance, and provide coaching or disciplinary action as needed. Manage budgeting, payroll forecasting, and requisitioning while coordinating with Front Office and Accounting to ensure accurate reporting. Conduct monthly safety inspections, oversee maintenance repairs, and drive the laundry truck for linen pickup. Fulfill Manager on Duty shifts and adhere to all safety procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum three years as an assistant housekeeping manager or supervisor in hospitality
- Valid Florida Drivers' License and good driving record
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing (i.e. drug test, background check, etc)
- Full availability and ability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to understand, follow and give written and oral instructions
- Ability to deal with stressful conflicts involving groups of people, individuals, and co-workers
- Ability to work with large groups of people, and age groups
- Ability to plan, organize and conduct a wide variety of activities
- Knowledge of leadership techniques
- Ability to work harmoniously with fellow employees and guests
- Ability to work outdoors including intense or inclement weather conditions
- Ability to be on-call when away from work
- Abilities (<8 hours per day) walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, running, sitting, climbing, reaching overhead and bending
- Ability to frequently (<6 hours per day) lift up to 60 pounds of weight to chest height
