Job Summary
Monitor and direct all Housekeeping and Laundry personnel while inspecting rooms daily and ensuring lobbies, hallways, and back-of-house areas meet Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Establish key control systems, conduct monthly inventories, and balance room status nightly to resolve discrepancies between reports and computer data. Manage payroll compilation, prepare weekly wage progress reports, and conduct monthly department meetings alongside 90-day and annual performance appraisals. Handle guest requests, complaints, and VIP arrivals with discretion, respond to emergency situations using M.S.D. sheets, and train staff on safety protocols and brand procedures. Submit maintenance requests to Engineering, review Guest Request logs proactively, and maintain open communication with other departments.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
