Job Summary
Oversee the Housekeeping Department by directing daily operations for rooms, front/back of house, and laundry areas in strict compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Monitor and direct all personnel, conduct daily inspections, and manage key control systems while ensuring high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Handle overall supervision of VIP arrivals, respond to guest requests and complaints, and balance room status nightly to resolve discrepancies. Prepare employee schedules based on business forecasts, conduct monthly department meetings, and perform all required training on safety rules and effective training steps. Motivate, coach, and discipline staff according to SOPs, while maintaining accurate payroll compilation, inventory controls, and purchase order vouchering.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
