Job Summary
Monitor and direct all Housekeeping and Laundry personnel while ensuring rooms, lobbies, hallways, and back-of-house areas meet Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Establish key control systems, conduct daily room inspections, and balance room status nightly to resolve discrepancies. Manage payroll compilation, prepare weekly schedules, and conduct monthly department meetings and performance appraisals. Coordinate with Engineering on maintenance requests, handle guest complaints and VIP arrivals, and ensure compliance with safety and training protocols. Submit wage progress reports and maintain inventory records to support operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
