Job Summary
Lead the housekeeping department as a Service Champion, modeling hospitality excellence and upholding guest service standards across public spaces and rooms. Identify process efficiencies, analyze satisfaction data from Revinate, and resolve guest issues to optimize experience. Manage departmental operations by developing schedules, approving timesheets, and overseeing full-cycle recruitment including interviews and onboarding. Monitor cost control efforts, interpret financial statements for budgeting, and ensure adherence to safety and WorkSafe BC standards. Supervise team performance through service quality audits, provide coaching and mentoring, and conduct annual evaluations. Maintain par stocks, research supplier RFPs, and review brand standards for cost efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years minimum experience in a senior housekeeping role within a Hotel/Resort setting
- Must have the ability to supervise, mentor, train and motivate the team
- A working knowledge of basic and complex cleaning machinery and tools
- A level of financial acumen and ability to budget, forecast, and interpret financial statements
- Physical Requirement: Heavy; work activities involve handling loads up to 35kg; predominantly in an indoor setting
- This job position requires physical presence at the designated location
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality/Tourism, or a related discipline preferred
- Experience as an Assistant Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Manager, Executive Housekeeper, and/or related work experience
- A working knowledge of hotel systems, specifically Agilysis VERSA would be considered an asset
