Job Summary
Lead and participate in cleaning guest accommodations, meeting spaces, offices, common areas, and off-site housing to ensure consistent standards for cleanliness, comfort, and safety. Assign daily housekeeping tasks, monitor completion, and perform routine quality inspections while responding to guest requests promptly. Train and mentor staff, coordinate retreat turnovers, and execute priorities set by the Operations & Facilities Manager. Maintain inventory levels of linens, toiletries, and supplies; submit requests before stock runs low. Update spreadsheets, track documents, and complete required reports using Google Workspace. Perform minor maintenance tasks like replacing batteries and light bulbs, support environmental sustainability initiatives, and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years of housekeeping experience in hospitality, lodging, retreat centers, hotels, or similar environments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing operational needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable leading by example while working alongside the housekeeping team
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Gmail
- Self-motivated with the ability to recognize priorities and complete responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Willingness to work weekends and maintain a flexible schedule based on retreat operations
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience working in a retreat center, hotel, camp, or hospitality environment
- Knowledge of environmentally friendly and fragrance-free cleaning practices
- Experience using digital checklists or inventory management systems
