Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of housekeeping and laundry departments, supervise staff, ensure cleaning schedules and laundry services are completed accurately and efficiently, assign tasks, monitor workflow, ensure compliance with safety and infection control guidelines, foster a positive resident-centered atmosphere, participate in employee performance evaluations, maintain required records and departmental documentation, manage inventory of supplies and equipment, and uphold facility policies and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare, long-term care, assisted living, rehabilitation, or similar setting preferred
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and workplace safety practices
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, staff, and management
