Job Summary
Housekeeping and Laundry staff responsible for cleaning and maintaining the physical plant and environment, including fixtures, furniture, and equipment, while also performing laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens to resident rooms. Duties include following cleaning schedules, stocking supplies, reporting repairs, attending monthly in-service trainings, adhering to safety policies, and taking care of equipment. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions; capable of heavy lifting and working in a care-home environment with exposure to temperature/humidity changes and contaminants. Requires courteous, cooperative, and safe conduct; reports to Environmental Director.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions, document tasks completed
- Must be able to follow directions given by Manager
- Must have good moral character
- Good mental and physical condition, also to perform heavy lifting and tedious chores
- Must cooperate and communicate with other employees, management, and residents
