Job Summary
Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, press, fold, and deliver hotel linens to departments while ensuring equipment operates properly and reporting any malfunctions. Maintain a neat linen cart, keep the laundry area clean, and respond promptly to guest and staff requests. Secure all issued equipment, keys, and supplies daily. Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, lifting bundles up to 75 lbs and carts weighing up to 100 lbs. Maintain a professional image with a friendly, cheerful demeanor to assure guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of general laundry cleaning principles, use of laundry products, and operation of standard laundry equipment.
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift bundles of linen weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
