Job Summary
Undertake housekeeping tasks in resident rooms, hallways, bathrooms, and common areas throughout Norview Lodge, including routine cleaning, sanitizing, plant care, and laundry procedures for resident items and linens. Conduct supply inventory control, stock carts, and clean work areas and equipment daily. Perform admission, discharge, and transfer processes for resident belongings while adhering to infection control policies and Health and Safety standards. Orient new staff as required and participate in team-based resident-centered care. Maintain awareness of emergency procedures and complete in-service education. This permanent part-time role offers up to 24 hours per week in Simcoe, ON, with a wage range of $25.925 to $26.685 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 graduation or equivalent
- Environmental Services for Frontline Staff Course or willing to complete prior to start date in the role
- Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Must be aware of safe work practices as they relate to job responsibilities and work environment, and have the basic understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Successful applicants are required to provide the Employer with a current Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector where required and verification of education
