Job Summary
Clean and maintain the rest area in London, KY, including rest area grounds, buildings, lobbies, restrooms, vending areas, parking areas, and ramps. Perform cleaning that includes sweeping and mopping floors, washing windows and glass doors, cleaning commodes, urinals, sinks, and mirrors, stocking toilet paper and soap, and keeping sidewalks, parking lots, and lawn areas free of litter and debris. Adhere to safety precautions and commercial cleaning techniques; operate cleaning equipment; assess surfaces for cleanliness and spills; and manage trash. Work across shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) in various indoor/outdoor conditions, with emphasis on professional communication with coworkers, physical endurance (standing, walking on hard and uneven surfaces), and ability to pass a background check and meet age requirement. This is a part-time and full-time role as described in the posting.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques
- Knowledge of equipment use
- Knowledge of safety precautions
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and others in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete and similar hard surfaces
- Ability to walk on uneven ground (such as lawns, fields, and gravel)
- Ability to operate cleaning tasks for up to two continuous hours indoors/outdoors in all weather
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Background check required
