Job Summary
Housekeeping and janitorial duties at a Kentucky rest area, including cleaning rest area grounds, buildings, lobbies, restrooms, vending areas, parking areas, and ramps; perform sweeping, mopping, window washing, restroom cleaning (toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors), stocking supplies, and trash removal. Roles available on 1st (7am–3pm), 2nd (3pm–11pm), and 3rd (11pm–7am) shifts; heavy emphasis on indoor/outdoor cleaning, safety, attention to detail, and cooperative work with others. Requires knowledge of cleaning techniques, ability to operate cleaning equipment, professional communication, physical endurance to handle standing/walking on hard surfaces and uneven ground, and readiness to work in all weather; candidates must be 18+ and pass a background check.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety precautions
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and others in a professional and courteous manner
- Physical ability to stand and walk on concrete and uneven ground; can push/pull equipment; bend/kneel/crouch as needed
- Ability to work up to two continuous hours indoors and outdoors in various weather
- Must be at least 18 years of age and pass a background check
