Job Summary
Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms to verify cleanliness standards and audit preparedness. Coach housekeeping staff on brand expectations and monitor minutes-per-room budgets. Oversee room cleaning progress by communicating status to the front desk and record forgotten items in lost and found. Organize storage rooms, assist with deliveries and linens, and perform inventory tasks. Distribute and log keys and communication devices, report daily communications and inspections to managers, and monitor systems for timely request completion. Communicate with other departments, report guest issues, and serve as a point of contact for guest and staff opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required
- Computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to apply them in a dynamic environment
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write instructions, correspondence, reports, and memos
- Ability to communicate verbally with guests, management, and co-workers
- Ability to effectively present information to associates, management, guests, and the public in one-on-one and group situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to understand guest service needs
- Knowledge of computer accounting programs
- Math skills
- Budgetary analysis capabilities
- Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States
