Housekeeping Inspector

Job Summary
Conduct opening procedures, distribute work assignments, and inspect all assigned guestrooms to ensure cleanliness standards, efficient stock positioning, and proper fixture operation. Communicate cleaning deficiencies to Housekeepers, update guestroom status in the Property Management System, and verify supply levels in storage closets. Assist in training associates, perform housekeeper duties as needed, and manage Lost and Found articles. Ensure hallways remain clear of trash and soiled linen, assist laundry attendants, and support month-end reporting and inventories. Participate in department meetings to develop agendas and present updates.
Required Qualifications
- basic knowledge of sanitation requirements/controls and applications of relevant chemicals
- working knowledge of the use of laundry chemicals and different formulas, as well as effects on various types of linen
- ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and move continuously to clean rooms
- ability to read and write basic English in order to complete laundry/valet tickets and understand information such as safety labels and instructions
- ability to communicate effectively and pleasantly in English with guests
- ability to push, or lift heavy loads weighing up to 30 pounds as the position requires continuous transportation of laundry to and from guest rooms
- ability to push and or pull wheeled racks and carts weighing up to 100 pounds
