Job Summary
Clean assigned hospital areas including patient rooms, common spaces, and restrooms while monitoring cleanliness standards. Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices to maintain a safe, clean environment for patients. Provide friendly service to individuals in the hospital and assist team members as needed. Operate equipment, handle chemicals, and perform physical tasks such as pushing carts and bending throughout the shift. Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required. Flexible day, evening, or night shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Communicate effectively in English
- Work well in a team environment
- Practice good personal hygiene
- Be neatly groomed
- Be in uniform
- Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
- Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
- Must be able to push and pull carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption in place
Desired Qualifications
- Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare)
