Job Summary
Maintain a clean, sanitary environment in a long-term care facility by cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas; sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces; empty trash and replenish supplies; sanitize high-touch surfaces; follow infection control procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals; support infection prevention and facility safety policies; assist with terminal cleaning after discharge or transfer; keep housekeeping carts and equipment organized; collaborate with nursing staff to address housekeeping requests.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare, long-term care, or hospitality preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and infection control practices
- Ability to follow safety procedures and facility policies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
