Job Summary
Clean and maintain retail and warehouse areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and customer seating areas, to uphold cleanliness standards. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors regularly while dusting and wiping down shelves, fixtures, and displays. Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and empty trash receptacles throughout the facility. Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management of shortages or maintenance issues. Follow safety procedures and guidelines for handling chemicals and equipment. This full-time role operates in a retail store environment and requires the ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and bend frequently.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to stand during the entire shift
- Must be able to lift and/or move, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services, preferably in a retail or warehouse environment
- Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues
- Thorough understanding of safety hazards, personal protection equipment (PPE), and proper use of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions
