Job Summary
Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical while coordinating daily housekeeping services with nursing services in resident living and recreational areas. Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner by performing regular inspections of resident rooms/units for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties. Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor and follow established safety precautions when using equipment, supplies, or mechanical lifts. Keep work/assignment areas free of hazardous objects and adhere to manufacturer's instructions when mixing chemicals. Work harmoniously with other personnel and handle residents based on their maturity level.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to accept constructive criticism
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
- Willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning
- Willingness to work Saturday-Wednesday
