Job Summary
Perform all custodial worker tasks including stripping, scrubbing, and refinishing hard surface floors, plus spot cleaning and extracting carpets and upholstery. Operate walk-behind and riding auto scrubbers safely while maintaining daily corridor, lobby, and unit area cleanliness through dust mopping, spot mopping, and auto scrubbing. Sweep and burnish surfaces as needed, clean equipment before storage, and report safety hazards or repair needs to the supervisor. Maintain professional clinical competencies for assigned units. Requires one year of housekeeping experience and ability to operate handheld communication devices. Full-time role at The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City.
Required Qualifications
- 1 or more years of housekeeping experience
- Ability to operate handheld communication devices for communication with dispatch
- Ability to perform operations with units such as cup, pint, quart and ounce, inch, foot and yard
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department
- Employment with the health system is contingent upon, among other things, agreeing to the health-system-dispute-resolution-program.pdf and signing the agreement to the DRP
