Job Summary
Environmental Services Attendant on South Campus, part-time or PRN, cleans patient areas with germicidal solutions, washes walls/fixtures/windows, strips and makes beds, sweeps/mops floors and vacuums, collects waste and soiled linen, handles hazardous waste per Infection Control guidelines, climbs to hang cubicles or drapes, and arranges furniture for meetings. Must lift 50 pounds, read and understand simple instructions, perform basic arithmetic, and comply with OSHA/CDC PPE requirements with a 90-day probationary period.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and be mobile.
- Ability to read and understand simple verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment. Ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms.
- Successful completion of a ninety (90) day probationary period.
