Job Summary
Clean assigned hospital areas including patient rooms, common spaces, and restrooms while maintaining strict adherence to HHS cleaning procedures and best practices. Monitor cleanliness standards continuously and provide friendly service to patients and staff. Assist team members and management to ensure efficient departmental operations. Handle chemicals such as bleach and disinfectants, and operate necessary equipment on various floor types. This role supports a team of compassionate housekeepers at Conemaugh Miners Medical Center, ensuring a safe and comfortable healing environment for patients.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Communicate effectively in English
- Work well in a team environment
- Practice good personal hygiene
- Be neatly groomed
- Be in uniform
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug screen
- Provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be able to handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, kneel, and reach continuously throughout a shift
- Must be able to push and pull carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
Desired Qualifications
- Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare)
