Job Summary
Perform weekly cleaning functions, remove and replace soiled linens, and clean bathrooms, kitchens, phones, and common areas. Vacuum carpets, sweep hallways, defrost refrigerators, and turn mattresses as needed. Launder linens, mop stairways, polish trash chutes, and complete 30- to 60-day deep cleans. Submit maintenance slips, observe infection control procedures, and report safety hazards. Maintain equipment, complete assignments timely, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings. Work Sunday through Thursday, 7am to 3:30pm, with PRN status and opportunity to move to FTE.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months of experience in housekeeping or janitorial position
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to effectively interact with residents, families and team members
- Be mobile and able to perform physical requirements of the job
- Demonstrates genuine concern for the physical and emotional needs of older adults and their families
- Required to receive the annual Flu vaccine, excluding religious or medical exemptions
