Job Summary
Maintain common areas, bathrooms, and food courts by keeping zones clean, wet-spill-free, and debris-free while adhering to OSHA practices and grooming standards. Check in all system points, communicate via radio, and report incidents, accidents, or maintenance issues to supervisors immediately. Keep carts stocked with chemicals and tools, refill dispensers, empty trash when ¾ full, and operate equipment including vacuums, scrubbers, and golf carts as needed. Place wet floor signs during scrubbing and ensure counters, water fountains, and mirrors remain dry and spotless.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules; MSDA; operations and maintenance instructions, employee handbook etc.
- Ability to communicate verbally and effectively with guests and co-workers
- Ability to always maintain professionalism, demonstrating courtesy and respect to customers and co-workers
- Ability to adhere to any OSHA practices and wear the assigned personal protective equipment
- Ability to keep a respectful and helpful attitude to customers
- Ability to adhere to the property service standards as well as grooming
- Ability to keep the maid cart clean and make sure all chemicals, tools, radio, Proxiguard wand and PPE necessary to perform the job are accessible before heading to the field
- Ability to check in all Proxy-guard (or any other system) points along the assigned area
- Ability to answer and use the radio to communicate with supervisors or any other member of the team
- Ability to report any incident, accident, property damage, property lost/recovered, personal injury as well as any maintenance or housekeeping issue to the supervisor immediately
- Ability to follow all safety indications learned during training sessions
- Ability to keep his/her zone clean, wet spill free, chewing gum free
- Ability to change or call the person in charge once any trash can has reached ¾ or more full capacity
- Ability to empty and clean ashtrays if any in the zone
- Ability to keep tables, chairs, and any other furniture clean and dry using the code-colored rags or the map the keep the floors in safe and clean condition
- Ability to keep internal and or external gardens debris free if any in the zone
- Ability to maintain a safe environment for co-workers and visitors
- Ability to refill chemical or paper dispensers such as toilet paper, soap, paper towel, etc., if needed
- Ability to place the wet floor signs on the floor when running the scrubbers and removing them when the floor is dry
- Ability to keep the top of the counters, water fountain, paid phones dry and clean and mirrors clean and spotless and storeroom dry and organized
- Ability to operate an industrial wet and dry vacuum cleaner
- Ability to operate a scrubbing machine
- Ability to operate a lift
- Ability to operate a truck and or golf cart (driver license required)
- Ability to operate a hand truck
- Ability to operate a carpet extractor
- Ability to operate a pressure washer machine
