Job Summary
Respond to guest and department requests by filling carts with supplies and transporting them to assigned areas. Enter guest rooms following access procedures to replace amenities, clean bathrooms, and swap dirty linens for clean items. Make beds, fold linens, remove trash, and verify all appliances are present and functional. Dust, polish, and clean walls and furnishings while vacuuming carpets and performing floor care duties in rooms and hallways. Adhere to safety policies by reporting maintenance issues, hazards, or injuries, and properly store flammable materials. Maintain a professional uniform and appearance while acknowledging guests and assisting those with disabilities. Move objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently and up to 50 pounds with assistance, pushing and pulling carts over uneven surfaces. Perform other duties as requested by supervisors while standing, sitting, or kneeling for extended shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance
- Ability to speak with others using clear and professional language
