Job Summary
Respond to dispatch promptly and perform environmental cleaning tasks necessary for departmental order, including cleaning spills per HAZMAT guidelines and ensuring equipment functionality. Maintain a safe environment in assigned areas by recognizing issues, utilizing the escalation policy, and documenting legibly. Communicate effectively via two-way radio or phone with proper etiquette and report problems to appropriate personnel. Work weekends and days in a 591-bed medical center while contributing to improved HCAHPS scores.
Required Qualifications
- ability to communicate and understand simple directions in English
- ability to read MSDS & chemical labels
- ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field
