Job Summary
Vacuum apartments, clean bathrooms and kitchens, and dust common areas including hallways while following supervisor priorities. Maintain equipment and supplies in proper condition and attend in-service training sessions. Perform additional duties as assigned and maintain resident confidentiality at all times. Work full-time 1st shift with moderate to heavy physical effort, standing and walking up to eight hours daily while lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Moderate to heavy physical effort for most of the workday
- Stand and walk long distances (up to 8 hours/day)
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, and stretching
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently
- Push/pull carts up to 100 lbs over various surfaces
- Operate vacuums and work in confined spaces
- Regular contact with residents
- Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, and communicable diseases
Desired Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred (not required)
