Job Summary
Clean and disinfect patient care areas, rest rooms, offices, and isolation rooms in accordance with posted procedures. Transport waste to designated collection points, including medical waste, and process clean and soiled linen following established guidelines. Maintain the housekeeping cart, closet, and equipment by restocking supplies and cleaning carts after use. Prepare rooms for incoming patients and perform other duties as assigned under the supervision of the Housekeeping Services Group Leader. Work part-time shifts of 7am-3:30pm every two weeks, rotating weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to work 7am-3:30pm shifts
- Ability to work 40-56 hours every two weeks
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to own the work that you do
- Ability to work with bodily fluids
- Ability to transport waste to designated collection points
- Ability to process clean and soiled linen following established guidelines/procedures
- Ability to clean and disinfect office and ancillary areas in accordance with written work schedules and procedures
- Ability to clean and disinfect rest rooms in accordance with written work schedules and procedures
- Ability to clean and disinfect patient care areas
- Ability to perform discharge cleaning in unoccupied patient care areas
- Ability to perform isolation room cleaning in accordance with posted procedures
- Ability to maintain housekeeping closet, housekeeping cart and related equipment
- Ability to restock housekeeping closet
- Ability to clean waste holding carts after use
