Job Summary
Prepare and distribute assignment sheets to housekeeping staff, communicating changes throughout the shift and identifying situations that compromise department standards. Inspect public areas including pools, offices, tennis courts, lobby, and service areas to ensure cleanliness meets Rancho Valencia standards, while checking and updating room statuses after approving work. Monitor cleaning techniques with room attendants, retraining staff as needed and coaching employees to reflect resort service standards. Manage monthly supply inventories, order supplies through Buy Efficient, and complete work orders for maintenance repairs. Handle guest complaints following procedures and provide feedback on staff performance to the Director. Lead the department training program, orient new employees, and participate in safety initiatives and community efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three to five years of progressive housekeeping experience in a full service or resort hospitality management background
- Previous management experience in a luxury resort
- Strong leadership and time management skills
- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work holidays and weekends
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to motivate assigned staff and maintain a cohesive team
- Knows how to prioritize and organize work assignments; delegate work
- Focus on details weather it is cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms and resort
- Strong Office and Computer skills including basic Excel, Advanced Word and Outlook ability
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a housekeeping line staff role
- Previous housekeeping management or supervisory experience in a luxury resort
- Previous Rooms Division or other Hospitality management experience
- Understand the Financial statements and Budget
- Ability to speak any other languages
- Basic Spanish language communication skills
