Job Summary
Housekeeping Aide responsible for cleaning patient rooms and common areas in a healthcare center. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, windows, and surfaces; moving furniture; handling curtains and draperies; following center procedures and infection control standards; using chemicals safely per MSDS; reporting equipment issues; maintaining supplies; and supporting center operations while upholding dignity and respect for patients. Requires basic cleaning knowledge, safety awareness, and good communication with patients, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
