Job Summary
Conduct a variety of cleaning duties including damp dusting, dry and wet mopping, floor maintenance, and disinfecting ceilings, walls, vents, washrooms, beds, furniture, and equipment. Perform regular biomedical waste collection, removal, spill clean-up, and bed-making while maintaining overall facility cleanliness according to organizational policies. Operate related equipment and organize work within a client and family centered model of care. Schedule and hours of work including days off may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements; successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
