Job Summary
Damp dust, mop floors, and disinfect ceilings, walls, vents, washrooms, beds, furniture, and equipment. Collect and remove biomedical waste, clean up spills, and make beds to maintain facility cleanliness per organizational policies. Perform these duties within a client and family-centered care model while adhering to Vancouver Coastal Health values. Applicants must have Grade 10 education, physical ability, and effective communication skills. A criminal records review check may be required. Hours and work areas are subject to change based on operational needs and the Collective Agreement.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
