Job Summary
Clean and sanitize resident apartments and common areas using assigned schedules and appropriate sanitation methods. Operate floor care machines, strip, scrub, and buff carpet and non-carpet surfaces. Pick up garbage and transport it to designated areas while adhering to safety rules and residence policies. Prepare required documentation and attend staff meetings to stay informed of changes. Participate in the Quality Improvement Program and in-service training as needed. Work with vulnerable adults while upholding the organization's Code of Conduct regarding ethics and integrity. Complete other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Good oral and written English communication skills
- Ability to provide feedback on a day-to-day basis
- Knowledge and experience with standard institutional cleaning techniques
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
- Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial / residential/ Healthcare cleaning and laundry procedures
- Proficiency in a second language
