Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness of general areas and assigned resident rooms, including floors, furniture, beds, and bathrooms, following accepted disinfection procedures. Assist with moving personal belongings during resident discharges or transfers while adhering to safety rules and fire regulations. Practice infection control principles, store cleaning compounds properly, and collect refuse to prevent disease transmission and fire hazards. Collect and dispose of trash in a manner that avoids creating nuisances or breeding places for insects and rodents. Full-time or part-time 6am-2pm schedule with weekend rotation required. English language proficiency at an intermediate or advanced level necessary for safe interaction with residents and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Custodial, janitorial, housekeeping and/or laundry experience
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
