Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness of general areas and assigned resident rooms, including floors, furniture, and bathrooms, following accepted disinfection procedures. Assist with moving personal belongings during resident discharges or transfers. Adhere to safety rules and fire regulations while practicing infection control principles and maintaining proper storage of cleaning compounds. Collect and dispose of trash to prevent disease transmission and fire hazards. Ensure all tasks are completed with intermediate or advanced English proficiency to facilitate clear communication with residents and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of age
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Custodial, janitorial, housekeeping and/or laundry experience preferred
