Job Summary
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas following established schedules and procedures. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors, furniture, and surfaces while disposing of trash and hazardous materials per waste management protocols. Change bed linens, towels, and room supplies as needed, ensuring clean stock is available throughout the facility. Follow all safety guidelines and infection control protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE when handling hazardous materials. Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly. Interact with residents respectfully, mindful of privacy, and assist with minor requests like moving furniture or delivering items. Work closely with housekeeping staff and other departments to complete tasks efficiently and communicate supply shortages or equipment problems.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or hospitality setting
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions effectively
