Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation within a healthcare, long-term care, or assisted living facility by cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established schedules. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors, furniture, and surfaces while disposing of trash and hazardous materials following proper waste management protocols. Change bed linens, towels, and room supplies as needed, ensuring clean items are stocked throughout the facility. Follow all safety guidelines and infection control protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment when handling hazardous materials. Report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly. Interact with residents respectfully while performing duties, assisting with minor requests such as moving furniture or delivering items. Work closely with other housekeeping staff and facility departments to complete tasks efficiently and communicate supply shortages. On-the-job training provided for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent.
